The Night of Champions is the upcoming PPV to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will be the 11th edition of the annual event and will take place on June 28, 2025. The PPV will air live on Saturday from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which can host 26,090 fans. Just like the name suggests, many champions will feature at the mega event, including Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, CM Punk, and John Cena.

This event will decide the 24th King of the Ring and third Queen of the Ring, as it will host the finals of both titles. Not only that, the mega event will host a WWE Undisputed Championship match and the United States Championship. John Cena will feature in his last Night of Champions event as an in-ring performer, while CM Punk will feature in his first match at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes, King of the Ring Final

Randy Orton has been on the collision course with John Cena again, but this time at Summerslam, if he wins the King of the Ring tournament. He has been able to complete the first two steps. He defeated LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, and Aleister Black in a fatal four-way to qualify for the semi-final, and then defeated Sami Zayn to enter the finals of the King of the Ring tournament.

Cody Rhodes’ story is somewhat similar to Randy Orton; the only difference is that he lost his title to John Cena at WrestleMania. He has been paving his way to collide with John Cena. He defeated Shinsuke Nakamura, Andrade, and Damian Priest to qualify for the King of the Ring semifinals and then beat Jey Uso in a hard-fought match to reach the finals. He is scheduled to face Randy Orton in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament.

Asuka vs. Jade Cargill, Queen of the Ring Final

Asuka’s return to WWE has been inspiring as she defeated Raquel Rodriguez, Stephanie Vaquer, and Ivy Nile to reach the semifinals of the Queen of the Ring tournament. She carried the same momentum into her match against Alexa Bliss in the semifinal. Though she received some help from Rhea Ripley in the qualifier, she didn’t need any during her match against Alexa Bliss.

Jade Cargill has had a bad few months, but she turned her fortune when she defeated Michin, Piper Niven, and Nia Jax in a fatal four-way. She reached the semifinals of the tournament, where she defeated Roxanne Perez to reach the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament. She will now face Asuka for the Queen of the Ring crown.

Jacob Fatu(c) vs. Solo Sikoa, WWE United States Championship Match

Jacob Fatu has helped Solo Sikoa numerous times, but the same is not true for the latter. JC Mateo’s addition and Solo’s interruption have cost Jacob Fatu more matches than he has won recently. Not just that, Solo Sikoa told JC Mateo that Jacob Fatu is “All gas and no brains,” taking a dig at him. Jacob Fatu heard it, and it created a rift between the Bloodline 2.0. Jacob Fatu cost Solo Sikoa the match at MITB 2025 in retaliation.

Solo Sikoa addresses the issue on SmackDown by asking Jacob Fatu to say, “I love you, Solo”. Jacob Fatu not only denied it but also challenged Solo Sikoa for a match. They brawled twice after that on SmackDown, which further ignited their rivalry. They will now face each other for the WWE United States Championship at Night of Champions.

Rhea Ripley vs Raquel Rodriguez, Women’s Street Fight match

This would only be the second time that Dominic Mysterio would defend his title since he won it in a fatal four-way at WrestleMania in his 68-day title reign. He has only defended his title against Penta with the help of JD McDonagh. Dominic Mysterio has been trying to avoid a match against AJ Styles for a long time. He asked Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to take care of AJ Styles for him, but both of them failed.

Dominic Mysterio played another move, stating he is not fully recovered, and bailed out of the match, making way for a match between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez. Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez have been at each other’s throats for a long time. They cost each other the Queen of the Ring qualification, further intensifying their rivalry.

Raquel Rodriguez called out Rhea Ripley, and they brawled until Roxanne Perez saved Raquel Rodriguez from the former’s assault. The distraction from Roxanne Perez helped Raquel to gain her breath and then send Rhea Ripley through the table with a Tejana Bomb. Rhea Ripley later asked for a Street Fight match against her and was granted the same.

Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross

Sami Zayn has had a few months to forget losing his matches at crucial stages, but what made those losses worse was the taunting of Karrion Kross. Karrian Kross has been trying to convince Sami Zayn to turn to his dark side and claimed he won’t be able to win a championship without that. Sami Zayn has refused each time and asked him to stay away, but Karrion Kross continued his mind games.

John Cena(c) vs CM Punk, WWE Undisputed Championship

The rivalry that is ages old, featuring in numerous matches across WWE history. They have a 6-6 record against each other. This match will decide the final score, and they are doing everything they can to keep the crowd engaged. CM Punk delivered a promo to burn John Cena, and Cena retaliated with CM Punk’s pipebomb promo, making it a lot more brutal. CM Punk didn’t hold back as he dissed John Cena with his own Thugonomics.
