Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has emerged as a sought-after name in the transfer market with several big European clubs closely monitoring his situation. The Senegal international is reportedly open to leaving Stamford Bridge this summer. Bayern Munich are the latest club to be linked with a potential move for the 24-year-old.
Jackson joined Chelsea in 2023 and played a pivotal role for the Blues last season, starting 28 of his 30 Premier League appearances. He contributed 10 goals and five assists as Enzo Maresca’s side secured a fourth-place finish and Champions League qualification. Across all competitions, he has scored 30 goals and provided 12 assists in 81 appearances.
Bayern Munich became the latest club to be linked with Nicolas Jackson on Thursday. According to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich made enquiries about Nicolas Jackson’s availability. The Bundesliga champions also gathered details on the Chelsea striker’s situation, potential price tag and transfer conditions.

However, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl has dismissed speculation linking Jackson with a move to the German giants. Eberl was quick to shut down the rumours as he said,
“I have never spoken to him. We are very, very satisfied so far. We have signed three players we absolutely wanted. We are going through a difficult time right now due to long-term injuries. That doesn’t make it easy.”
“Nevertheless, we will not sign any immediate replacements. There will be no emergency solutions until September 1st. Hopefully, we will have better luck with the injuries. Our squad is set – let’s see how the season goes.”
Jackson has slipped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the summer arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap. Despite having a long-term contract until 2033, Jackson is believed to be open to a move in search of more regular playing time. Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are also monitoring his situation.

Newcastle, in particular, remain keen on the Senegal international after missing out on Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko this summer. As a result, Newcastle United are now being considered the frontrunners for Jackson’s signature.
