“Nico Harrison going to hell” – Frustrated Mavericks fans react as former Maverick Quentin Grimes continues to thrive with Sixers

Philadelphia signed Quentin Grimes alongside a 2025 second-round pick in exchange for Caleb Martin before the trade deadline.

The short-handed Philadelphia 76ers couldn’t complete a fourth-quarter rally and suffered a 132-123 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, but their 24-year-old guard dropped a game-high performance on Monday night. The Sixers’ newly acquired guard, Quentin Grimes, stole the show in the loss.

Philadelphia signed Grimes alongside a 2025 second-round pick in exchange for Caleb Martin before the trade deadline. The former Mavs star scored 35 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists while shooting 14-for-25.

Fans hailed Quentin Grimes, who led the 76ers’ offense without Paul George, Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Andre Drummond in the lineup. Fans also criticized Nico Harrison for trading Grimes for Martin last month. They feel Mavericks traded a quality player, who is performing on high level for the 76ers.

Quentin Grimes is averaging 25.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.8 assists over the last six games. He is shooting 54% from the floor and 41% from 3-point range. He recently scored a career-high 44 points against the Warriors on Mar. 1.
