Steph Curry needed seven three-pointers to achieve the historic milestone.
On Monday night, NBA fans tuned in to watch the Golden State Warriors face the Portland Trail Blazers. The spotlight was on Stephen Curry, who was on the brink of making history by becoming the first NBA player to reach 4,000 career three-pointers. Entering the game, Curry needed seven three-pointers to achieve the historic milestone.
While the Warriors cruised to a 130-120 win, securing their fifth straight win, Curry fell just short of reaching his milestone.
Steph Curry made five out of eleven attempts from beyond the arc in Warriors’ win. In the final eight minutes, he needed just two more to reach 4,000 but missed his last four attempts. However, his fourth three-pointer of the night brought his season total to 250, marking the 11th time he has reached that milestone, which is the most in NBA history. The 36-year-old finished the game with 24 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists.
