The NFL trade deadline is less than 3 weeks away now. The 2024 NFL trade window saw some massive trades like Davante Adams to the Jets, Amari Cooper to the Bills, and Cam Akers to the Minnesota Vikings. But the NFL trade rumor mill still has some big names that might get traded before the NFL trade window closes. Here are the 3 players who are speculated to be traded before the NFL trade deadline.
The arrival of Davante Adams to the Jets was the talk of the town. The Davante Adams trade gave us the long-awaited reunion of the wideout with Jets QB Aaron Rodgers. But Mike Williams became the odd man out. After the 23-20 loss against the Bills, Rodgers did not hold back and blamed Williams for running the wrong route on the interception that cost the Jets the game.
Interim coach Jeff Ulbrich also pointed out that having too many pass catchers is an interesting and good problem to have. But Mike Williams would be better off getting traded from the Jets to some other team where his talents are appreciated. Missing back to back practices before the game against the Steelers has only confirmed the Mike Williams trade rumors. As per sources, the Chargers, the Steelers and the Saints are the top 3 teams who are reaching out for Williams.

Another Jets player who finds himself in the market before the NFL trade deadline is linebacker Haason Reddick. The Haason Reddick contract holdout saga with the Jets made him miss the entirety of the Jets training camp and the games in the regular season. Finally on October 15, the Jets permitted Haason Reddick to seek a trade, ending the stalemate for good.
As per latest reports, the Detroit Lions have contacted the Jets about the 30-year old edge rusher’s availability. The loss of Aidan Hutchinson to a horrible leg injury has opened a slot at Dan Campbell’s side and Haason Reddick might just fit in. As per ESPN’s Bill Barnwell, the Lions can get him for a 2026 sixth-round pick from the Jets.

Though it seems to be a long shot at the moment, a Travis Etienne Jr. trade might be an interesting prospect. Selected by the Jaguars in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft, Etienne Jr. has already exercised the fifth year option with the side that gives him a $6.1 million guaranteed salary in 2025.
The problem begins when he is compared to fellow running back Tank Bigsby, who has outperformed Etienne Jr. in terms of rushing yards and yards per carry. Both Jaguars RBs have 2 touchdowns each and if a change of guard is on the cards, we might see Etienne Jr. in the market.
