As a reminder, the NFL does not use a lottery system. The team with the worst regular-season record will receive the first overall pick in April.
After Week 17, the New England Patriots hold the top spot with the league’s worst record at 3-13. They are followed by the Tennessee Titans (3-13) and the Cleveland Browns (3-13).
With 4 teams with the same record, Week 18 will decide who’s going to have the 1st overall pick next April.

As the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, several standout college players are emerging as top prospects.
Shedeur Sanders, quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes and son of NFL legend, Deion Sanders, is a leading candidate to be the No. 1 overall pick.
Another prominent prospect is Travis Hunter, also from Colorado, who recently won the Heisman Trophy. Hunter’s versatility as both a cornerback and wide receiver makes him a valuable asset.
Cameron Ward, quarterback for the Miami Hurricanes, is also gaining attention.
