The Seattle Seahawks absolutely destroyed the Washington Commanders in their Week 9 matchup and it was not even close. In this Sunday Night Football showdown, we saw an absolute humiliation of the Commanders by the Seahawks. Seattle’s Sam Darnold throwing for 330 passing yards, on 4 TDs and an INT, with Tory Horton scoring two TDs Elijah Arroyo with 1, and AJ Barner with another. The Seahawks led 7-0 in the first quarter, scored a whopping 24 points in the second quarter, and 7 points in third, ending the game with a 38-14 as the final score.

The Commanders are now 3-6 for the season and are far worse than what they were a season ago. Many are starting to speculate that Washington’s success last season was a fluke, and their second year QB Jayden Daniels sophomore season slump is real. However, the loss is nothing compared to what the Commanders lost last night, and it was Jayden Daniels’ gruesome fourth quarter injury with a dislocated elbow that could keep him out for the rest of the season.

Damien Harris Did Not Hold Back Against Dan Quinn Controversial Decision

By the start of the fourth quarter, the Washington Commanders had little to no hope of making a comeback to win the game, as the score was already 38-7. However, their head coach Dan Quinn decided to keep Jayden Daniels in the game, and that has brought in mixed emotions from fans and analyst Damien Harris.

“I’m pissed off because this was malpractice by Dan Quinn. Having him (Daniels) in the game, in the fourth quarter, down 38-7, when Jayden Daniels has already missed time with injuries. He is your most prized possession as a franchise and you’re just hanging him out there to do what?”

Harris questioned the purpose of keeping Daniels in a blowout game, “What was his purpose of being out there? Was he gonna get any better? Was he gonna learn anything? Was he gonna bring his team back to win? No, no, no. What’s the point of having him in the game? What’s the point of having backup quarterbacks for a situation like this?”

When Will Jayden Daniels Return?

While Daniels ended up dislocating his non-throwing arm, and he could return sooner, a dislocation is still very painful and still take a lot of time to recover. Multiple QBs have had this injury before and it usually did not require surgery. However, we will still need to wait for the MRI report which will be done on Monday.

If Daniels doesn’t have any fracture, he could be back this season, but it it’s the other way around, he could potentially miss the entire season.
