Heading into yet another week of football action, we begin the new slate of games with the Houston Texans taking on the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football (TNF). This is a crucial matchup at this point of the season, with the Texans climbing their way to .500 while the Bills look to continue their march towards the playoffs.
Sunday will bring us even more exciting games, starting with the all-important Chiefs vs Colts, a must-win game for Kansas City. There are plenty of other crucial games, such as the Packers vs Vikings, Bears vs Steelers, Cowboys vs Eagles, and Rams vs Buccaneers, before Week 12 concludes with the 49ers taking on the Panthers on Monday Night Football (MNF).

Buffalo Bills (-5.5) over Houston Texans
The Bills are coming off a solid 44-32 win over the Buccaneers. Josh Allen had a monstrous game with 6 touchdowns, and the offense is averaging 29 points per game, whereas the Texans are hovering around 22 per game. Houston has not been as dominant this season, and their 16-13 win over the Titans last week was a bit concerning.
Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) over Indianapolis Colts
With the way the Colts and the Chiefs are playing this season, it comes as a surprise that Kansas City is favored by 3.5 points in this matchup. That said, keeping pace with the rest of the AFC for a playoff berth that is slowly dwindling away should bring out the best in this Chiefs team.
Going up against this Colts team, led by Jonathan Taylor and Daniel Jones, will be no mean task, but if anyone can do it, it is Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City, especially when their backs are against the wall.
New England Patriots (-7.5) over Cincinnati Bengals
The Patriots are in red-hot form at the moment with 8 wins in a row, whereas the Bengals are on a 3-game losing streak. New England just trounced the Jets 27-14 last week, and while both teams’ offenses are putting up points on the board, there is a gulf in difference when it comes to defense.
New England has a top 5 defense in points allowed, giving up 18.7 per game, while the Bengals are dead last, allowing a league high 33.4 points per game. Add to that the fact that Ja’Marr Chase could miss the game due to his suspension, and the Patriots are looking good to cover.
Pittsburgh Steelers (+3) over Chicago Bears
The Bears have hit a good patch of form with three wins on the trot, while the Steelers are stumbling along with alternate wins and losses. Pittsburgh hasn’t looked that great lately, but everything is clicking for Chicago. Having said that, the Bears keep winning close games, while the Steelers are coming off an impressive 34-12 win over the Bengals.
New York Jets (+13.5) over Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are currently on a roll after starting the season 1-4; they have fought back to 5-5 and look more like the team of the past couple of seasons.
The Jets, on the other hand, have nothing going for them, and their recent trades of Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams cost them their two best defenders. While the Ravens should win comfortably, the 13.5 spread seems a bit difficult to cover.
Seattle Seahawks (-13.5) over Tennessee Titans
The 13.5-point spread may be quite a big one as mentioned above, but in this case, the Seahawks have dominated most of the weaker teams this season, pulling off multiple double-digit wins. Additionally, the Titans’ offense is the worst in the league, averaging just 14 points per game.
Detroit Lions (-10.5) over New York Giants
The Lions are a top 5 offense averaging 29 points per game, whereas the Giants’ defense is bottom 5 in the league, giving away a little over 27 points per game. On the contrary, the Giants’ offense has been hit with injuries to key players. The Lions would be looking to rebound after a dismal performance against the Eagles last week.
Minnesota Vikings (+6.5) over Green Bay Packers
This game between the Packers and Vikings is a divisional rivalry in which games tend to be much closer. While the Packers are the rightful favorites, they have not always been at their best. There is a good chance that the Vikings can cover the 6.5-point spread.
Cleveland Browns (-3) over Las Vegas Raiders
A matchup between two teams whose seasons are essentially over, with 7 weeks still left in the regular season. Neither team is extremely talented on the offensive side of the ball, but the Browns have a massive edge on defense.
Jacksonville Jaguars (-2.5) over Arizona Cardinals
Jacksonville’s last game against the Los Angeles Chargers came as a surprise. The Jaguars not only won, but they did so in dominant fashion. The Cardinals, on the other hand, stumbled to yet another loss at the hands of the 49ers. Jacksonville has the edge in this game, and a 2.5-point spread should be easily coverable.
Atlanta Falcons (-1.5) over New Orleans Saints
The Falcons will be without two key starters against the Saints as both Michael Penis Jr. and Drake London are out for Week 12. Atlanta is also on a 5-game losing streak, but recently, they have lost close games. While the Saints won their last game against the Panthers, they have been blown out in the majority of their losses.
Philadelphia Eagles (-3.5) over Dallas Cowboys
The Eagles are on a 4-game win streak, with the story of their season being doing whatever it takes to win games. Philly has been struggling on offense, but the defense has held it together and is one of the best in the league.
The Cowboys just thumped the Raiders on Monday Night Football (MNF) yesterday, but take that result with a pinch of salt. Expecting them to outperform the Eagles may be asking too much.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+6.5) over Los Angeles Rams
The 8-2 Rams are going up against the 6-4 Buccaneers in this Week 12 matchup. Both teams have played top-quality football this season, but the current trend is favoring the Rams. Los Angeles is on a 5-game win streak, whereas the Bucs have lost 3 of their last 5 games. That said, the Bucs have kept their games close and should be able to cover the spread.
San Francisco 49ers (-6.5) over Carolina Panthers
Both teams are coming off big wins last week. The 49ers steamrolled the Cardinals 41-22, while the Panthers defeated the Falcons 30-27 in overtime. San Francisco’s offense was back in flow in the previous game as Brock Purdy threw 3 touchdowns and Christian McCaffrey added 2 more on the ground.
Carolina is surprisingly 6-5 on the season and has looked sharp for the most part. However, going up against the 49ers won’t be an easy task, and San Francisco should cover the 6.5-point spread.
