The New Orleans Pelicans will enter the match-up after an 18-point win against the San Antonio Spurs as Zion Williamson led with 22 points. This was their second win in three games but the squad has a miserable 2-11 record since the last week of January. The Pels have suffered this fate despite having their ace Zion Williamson available for a lengthy stretch. Meanwhile, the emergence of Trey Murphy III as a regular 20+ points scorer hasn’t arrested the flow of losses either. Where will the Pelicans go from here in the offseason? Perhaps, it is time to move on from the troubled Zion Williamson era.

They will be without Victor Wembanyama for the rest of the season, taking the steam out of their chances to qualify for the Play-in tournament. At any rate, the franchise will wait for the offseason to develop the required chemistry between Fox and Wemby to accelerate their growth.
