LeBron James is the starting forward for the Los Angeles Lakers. A native of Akron, Ohio, the American is considered one of the greatest players in NBA history. Known for his dominant playing style and unprecedented longevity, he remains one of the league’s biggest attractions in the 22nd year of a career full of records and achievements.
Early Career
James was already turning heads in the basketball world during his early days at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. He stood out with his above-average physique and led the school to three state championships during his time there. He was named to USA Today’s All-USA first team three years in a row (2001, 2002, and 2003).

LeBron James’ Arrival in the NBA
In 2003, the forward was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in that year’s Draft. He played the first seven seasons of his career with the team before moving to the Miami Heat, where he spent four years.
After his stint in Florida, he returned to the Cavaliers for another four-season run. When his contract with Cleveland ended, James signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, a team he has played for since the 2018-19 season.
