Out-of-form Philadelphia dropped their eighth straight game after a routing loss to the Chicago Bulls. Josh Giddey scored 25 points, and 16 rebounds as the Bulls snapped a six-game losing streak. Kevin Huerter scored 23 points, and Zach Collins added 19.
Chicago held a 50-point lead in the 4th quarter but the 76ers reduced the margin with a late push. Paul George and Kelly Oubre Jr. scored 19 points apiece. Tyrese Maxey scored 13 points in the loss.
Detroit Pistons extended their winning streak to seven games with a win against the LA Clippers. It was Detroit’s longest winning streak in 10 years and they also snapped a 10-game losing streak against the Clippers.
Cade Cunningham scored 32 points and nine rebounds, while Jalen Duren had 12 points and 19 rebounds. Tobias Harris chipped in with 20 points. James Harden led the Clippers with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Ivica Zubac had 13 points and 16 boards.
One of the league-worsts, Washington Wizards snapped a six-game losing streak with a win over the Brooklyn Nets. Jordan Poole scored 26 points and sparked a 7-0 run in the final phase of the game. Bilal Coulibaly dropped 20 points and Washington won their 10th game of the season.
Wizards held an opponent under 100 points for the first time this season. Ziaire Williams scored 19 points for the Nets, who scored 12 points in the fourth quarter. Brooklyn were playing without key players, D’Angelo Russell and Noah Clowney.
Nikola Jokic dropped a career-best 19 assists, 18 points and nine rebounds to help the Nuggets edging out the Pacers. Michael Porter Jr. had 19 points and 11 rebounds and Aaron Gordon added 25. Christian Braun chipped in with 17 points and Jamal Murray had 16.
Myles Turner led the Pacers with 23 points and last game’s hero, Tyrese Haliburton dropped 19 points and 15 assists. Pascal Siakam contributed 19 points and Aaron Nesmith had 17. Indiana snapped their three-game losing streak and are 2-1 in current homestand.
Atlanta Hawks stopped Miami Heat for just 86 points and snapped a three-game losing skid. Trae Young scored 11 points and 14 assists, and Onyeka Okongwu dropped 17 points and eight rebounds. Terrance Mann and Caris LaVert each added 15 points off the bench.
Dyson Daniel highlighted seven steals and The Hawks allowed their fewest points in four years. Andrew Wiggins led the Heat with 23 points and Tyler Herro managed just 11 points on 4-for-19 shooting. It was Miami’s sixth loss in seventh games.
The Timberwolves dropped their largest comeback in the franchise history to beat the Thunder in overtime. Minnesota came out from a 25-point deficit in 2nd half to win the final fixture in a two-game set. Jaden McDaniels scored 27 points and got a valuable support form Naz Reid with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker had 21 points and Edwards dropped 17 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists. Gilgeous-Alexander led OKC with 39 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, but missed a decisive 3-pointer with 2.9 seconds left. Jalen Williams added 27 points and Aaron Wiggins had 19 for the Thunder.
Anfernee Simons scored 28 points and the Portland Trail Blazers overcame the Utah Jazz in the opener of a seven-game trip. Jerami Grant added 20 points, and Avdija had 18 points and 14 rebounds. Scoot Henderson chipped in with 17 points. The Trail Blazers also halted a three-game road losing streak.
Brice Sensabaugh scored 23 points for the Jazz, who lost for the sixth time in eight games. Keyonte George dropped 21 points and Kyle Filipowski added 20 points and 11 rebounds. The former hit two straight 3-pointers to take a one-point lead but missed a winning 3-pointer at the buzzer.
The Sacramento Kings routed Charlotte Hornets with a 42-point blowout win. Zach LaVine highlighted a season-high 42-point performance while shooting 16-for-19. DeMar DeRozan scored 18 points and seven rebounds and Malik Monk had 13. Keegan Murray dropped 10 points and Domantas Sabonis contributed 10 rebounds.
Miles Bridges led the Hornets with 23 points. LaMelo Ball and Nick Smith Jr. scored 13 points apiece. Jusuf Nurkic and Moussa Diabate each added 12 points. Charlotte entered the fixture with a 53-point blowout loss to Portland.
