NBA Best Bets Today | Top Picks & Predictions for 05/03/2025

Shubham Singh

The NBA First Round series is now at the climactic position, and we are in the Game 7 territory. As the excitement hits sky-high proportions, the betting world is in a frenzy too. In this article, you can view the predictions related to spreads and player props for the May 03, 2025, action.

NBA Best Bets Today – 05/03/2025

Tonight, we will have only one NBA game as the Denver Nuggets will host the Los Angeles Clippers at their home floor for Game 7. The 3-3 tally of the series says it all. The Clippers had an impressive performance in Game 6 on their home floor to force a Game 7.

The Nuggets have been in such pressure scenarios before, but the Clippers are blessed with a champion, too, Kawhi Leonard. Who will come on top here?

Get your NBA best picks, and here are the NBA predictions for 05/03/2025 on BetMGM.

Best NBA Bets for 05/03/2025

Bet #1: Player Assists: Nikola Jokic O 9.5 (-105 at BetMGM)

Jokic’s scoring has been inconsistent throughout the series, but his playmaking has been spot-on. The center has fulfilled his job as the primary passer. He has averaged 10.5 APG in the series thus far.

The prolific all-around center has dished out double-digit assists in four of the six games, including a high of 13 assists in a Game 3 loss. The Joker is one of the safest bets when it comes to assists, and that’s why I am unhesitant in choosing him here.

Bet #2: Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Clippers: ML: Denver Nuggets (-120 at BetMGM)

This has been the most fantastic series thus far. Four games have been decided in single digits, and the last two minutes have been intense. The wealth of experienced postseason veterans has made the whole scenario unpredictable.

During Game 6, the Clippers had control by the third quarter, but even a haphazard Nuggets managed to make it a 6-point game. They will be back on their home floor, where they have 2 out of 3 games, thus, the home-court advantage has played a crucial role.

I see it playing a big part here, too, and expect the Nuggets to finish off the pesky Clippers. But I’d opt for a money line instead of a spread, considering the close nature of the series.

Bet #3: Russell Westbrook to score over 11.5 points (-120 at BetMGM)

Beastbrook has done the job off the bench. He has scored 13+ in four of the five games he has played. However, there is a belief that he can choke during the Game 7 scenario. But I feel he will unlock the best version of himself in this game. It can be a safe bet to go “Over” for him.

  • Nikola Jokic has gone “Under” in points during four of the six games.
  • Ivica Zubac has gone “Over” in points during four of the six games.

Final Picks Recap

  • Nikola Jokic: Assists O 9.5 (-105)
  • Money Line: Nuggets: (-120)
  • Russell Westbrook:  Points O 11.5 (-120)

Betting Tips of the Day

Bookmakers pay close attention while assigning odds. Often, there is a temptation to put on risky bets, but the odds can hit home more often than not. But there is an area to exploit.

When betting on the spread, it is usually wise to stake on a more favorable spread towards a team like the heavy favorites Cavaliers, taking on the underdog Heat. Thus, sometimes the bookmakers may be conservative, but there is a huge potential to make big on such bets.

Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
