Monaco GP Qualifying comes to an end as F1 prepares for the race tomorrow. The qualifying session will be an important factor in deciding tomorrow’s results. In a constrictive track like Monaco, teams need the best grid start to earn maximum points.

The 2025 Monaco GP Qualifying was surprising to say the least. There were many eliminations which were not expected. Even though Ferrari was looking fast during practice they couldn’t really get the best results in Qualifying today.

The Monaco GP Qualifying results are interesting to say none the least. Here are the top-10 drivers from today’s session–

Lando Norris will be a happy man today. He was confident about his results ahead of the weekend. Today, he was able to snatch pole position from the defending winner at the last minute. Charles Leclerc has been fast all weekend but he ultimately lost out to McLaren. Leclerc was looking good enough for provisional pole. The gap between between the drivers in front row is 0.09s.

Oscar Piastri and Lewis Hamilton pair up another Ferrari and McLaren on the second row. The Papaya and Rosso Corsa colors are going to have an intense battle tomorrow. Max Verstappen is only going to start fifth for the Monaco GP. Isack Hadjar will join him in the Racing Bulls.

Fernando Alonso is going to start from the top-10 once again. The midfield looks very competitive for the upcoming grand prix. Williams, Haas, Racing Bulls and Aston Martin are going neck and neck for getting points this race.

What Happened Outside the Top-10?

The biggest disappointment was for Mercedes today. They first lost Kimi Antonelli to a crash at the end of Q1. They also ended up losing George Russell to an electrical issue at the start of Q2. Sainz went out in Q2 after lack of traction in his rear tyres. Hulkenberg and Tsunoda just did not have enough speed to make the cut.

In Q1, Aston Martin lost Lance Stroll whereas, Haad lost Oliver Bearman. Both drivers are facing grid penalties for the weekend. They will start on the last row. Alpine won’t be too happy with both drivers gone in Q1. Gabriel Bortoleto was looking better this weekend but his Sauber lost out in Q1 by 0.02s.
