The Qualifying for the Monaco GP took place on Saturday. Lando Norris has earned the pole position and will lead the race start in the principality today. He is followed by the defending race winner- Charles Leclerc. The Monaco GP in 2025 is going to work with a new pit-stop rule. Aimed at making the race more exciting, F1 wants the teams to use at least three sets of tyres throughout the race.

The Monaco GP is a race that has frequent safety car incidents. This makes the race more about strategy and less about speed. Formula 1 might have brought in new rules, but teams will be able to circumvent it easily.
There will be many rookies who will end up in the barrier pushing the car too hard. There is a less chance for mechanical failure here in the principality. Formula 1’s new rules also mean a new set of complications. The FIA might end up punishing a lot of teams who try to find a loop hole in the “two-stop” rules.
An EPIC battle for pole! ⚔️

Lando Norris has the best odds for winning the race. His performance in the previous race was also better than his teammate. As per the odds after the qualifying session, Norris looks set for winning the race.
Following the odds, we predict that Lando Norris will win the race today. Norris has everything needed to win the race as long as he doesnt crash. Charles Leclerc will drop down the order and secure a podium,. Piastri can get ahead and claim second place today. There is no chance for Max Verstappen to win in Monaco.
There will be many safety car instances during the race so the new rules wont affect the rhythm of the top-10 drivers today. The points finishers will be the same as the starting grid. Mercedes are starting too far behind to make a difference in the race today.
nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
