The Lynx are currently 2-0 against the Liberty in the ongoing 2025 WNBA season.
The New York Liberty will travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota to clash against the Minnesota Lynx at the Target Center on Saturday, August 16. It will be the rematch of their previous meeting that took place on Saturday, August 9. The game saw the Lynx recording an 83-71 victory over the reigning champions, and gained a 2-0 lead over them. Kayla McBride led the Lynx with 18 points, one rebound, and two assists, and apart from her, a total of three players ended up registering double-digit scores.
The Liberty were led by Natasha Cloud, who dropped 14 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Two players including Jonquel Jones and Emma Meesseman poured in 11 points each, while Sabrina Ionescu and Marine Johannes tallied 10 points each. The Lynx will enter the upcoming fixture on the back of a five-game winning streak, and considering their previous records of this season, they will be high on confidence.
Their arch rivals, on the other hand, suffered an embarrassing defeat to the hands of the lower-seeded Las Vegas Aces in their last game. Needless to say, they would want to overturn the result by recording a win over the Lynx. Irrespective of who wins it, the upcoming clash will be filled with entertainment and thrill. Having said that, let’s see which players have been listed on the injury reports for both the teams.
