Scott Brings Defensive Prowess and Playmaking to Washington
The Washington Mystics have signed Madison Scott in a late push to bolster their playoff chances. Currently, the Mystics sit at the 10th position with a 14-18 record. They still have time to displace the Sparks and Storm down the line.

Madison Scott played five seasons at the University of Mississippi. She was McDonald’s All-American in 2020, and was named SEC Freshman of the Year in 2021. Over 155 games for Ole Miss, she averaged 11.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.

She shot 49.3 percent from the field, and 68.7 percent from the line. During her final year in college basketball, Madison Scott posted an average of 11.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. Her ability to stretch the floor and facilitate from the wing helped Ole Miss.
Madison Scott was picked up by the Dallas Wings during the 2025 WNBA Draft as the No. 14 pick. However, she was waived by the franchise just weeks after. She is now set to debut in the league with a seven-day contract with the Mystics.
Though, Scott’s three-point percentage was 23.5% last season, she stepped into more catch-and-shoot opportunities, attempting 1.7 threes per game. Her 3.7 assists per game in 2024-25 ranked among the top SEC forwards, indicating she can run secondary actions, read defenses, and find off the ball screens.
At 6’2″ with a 6’7″ wingspan, Madison Scott can guard multiple positions that include switching onto wings or stepping into the post on rotation. She can be a dependable scoring option from the bench for the Mystics.
