Max Verstappen rejoined the Miami Grand Prix after taking an off on the media day for the delivery of his baby!

Max Verstappen is having a shaky and unstable season in the 2025 F1 championship. The defending champion has a lot on his plate. His car is facing several issues and his team can’t get the pace correct. Verstappen has won one out of the first five races.

Super Max has been vocal about the troubles his car is facing. He is lagging behind by a considerable margin from the McLarens. Even the last weekend in Jeddah was horrible for the Dutch Lion. Super Max started from pole but could not win the race. He was completely disappointed due to the error in strategy by Red Bull. Not to mention, Verstappen also went through a time penalty which did not help his cause at all.

Verstappen went through an important time during the Miami Grand Prix weekend. His partner, Kelly Piquet was pregnant. Her delivery was scheduled to happen this weekend. Verstappen already did not attend the media day to stay with his wife before the big moment.

Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet Announce Birth of Baby!

Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet had their first child ahead of the Miami Grand Weekend start on Friday, May 2nd. The couple’s first child together is a baby girl.

Max Verstappen has revealed her name while announcing her arrival on his social media. Verstappen’s child will be named Lily.

Max Verstappen is also the parent Piquet’s daughter, Penelope. Penelope Kvyat was born to Kelly Piquet and Daniel Kvyat. After the couple separated, Penelope has beel bonding with Max. The duo is one of the famous ones in the F1 paddock and social media.

Max Verstappen is now the second father on the 2025 Formula 1 grid. Nico Hulkenberg, who was the only father on the 2025 grid, had a special message for the Dutch Lion-

“We’ve been quite fortunate and lucky. But yeah, I think there’s lots to discover – many beautiful, nice things that come with that. So yeah, I’m sure he’ll enjoy it.”

The other drivers were also excited about his child’s birth and sent him their congratulations.

Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet have been together for nearly five years. The couple went public their relationship in 2021.
