Max Verstappen Reaches Highest Tier of FIA License!

A new level of FIA license for the four-time champion

Max Verstappen is a name synonymous with Formula 1 racing in the recent years. He is among the best racers of the current F1 grid. Verstappen is also an avid fan of sim-racing. Max Verstappen has four titles to his name and is fighting for championship in 2025. The Dutchman took up the spotlight recently when he set a lap record in Nurburgring under a proxy name.

He has been achieving various accolades in Formula 1 racing ever since his entry into the sport. Verstappen’s latest achievement is a feat achieved by some of the best drivers in the past. Verstappen has upgraded the tier of his racing license in 2025 with his continued efforts. It is a known fact Verstappen is dedicated to racing. He even chooses to skip gatherings in favor of staying home and playing sim-racing. Max Verstappen’s new racing license is merely representation of his talents.

Max Verstappen Receives FIA Platinum License

The drivers in motorsports need to apply for a separate racing license to compete in different categories. The level of their license segregate them from the rest of the pack and helps them compete in the categories they are suited for. However, F1 drivers are an exception to this.

F1 drivers need to obtain the FIA Superlicense. This already puts them above every other racing driver. They are granted a temporary platinum status on their racing license. But they do need to apply for the same, in order to get permanent platinum tier. Max Verstappen is a follower of the endurance racing championships. The Dutchman has made it clear that he wants to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Verstappen is also attracted towards GT racing. The current schedule of Formula 1 however is too exhaustive and cuts him no slack to compete in any other events. When asked about the same, Christian Horner replied-

“It would be very difficult to take that away from him. But of course, the focus has to remain on his main job… it’s out of the question for him to skip a race.”

Max Verstappen’s new racing license opens the doors for him. He will be able to compete in the highest class of racing without any trouble. He has previously expressed his desire to compete with his father in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Although, his father’s license has been degraded to gold.
