Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen storm to pole position in Silverstone.

Max Verstappen was the surprise start of today’s session at Silverstone. The Dutchman is going to start the British Grand Prix on pole position after his amazing lap in qualifying earlier. Verstappen drove two stunningly perfect purple sector in the final lap to beat Oscar Piastri to pole. The Dutchman jumped forward from nowhere after facing struggles early on in the qualifying session.

Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing are going to be very pleased for the upcoming race. The pair have been suffering heavy blows for the past few weekends. The title hopes for Max Verstappen went down significantly after his DNF in Austria. Verstappen’s return to the front row brings renewed hope to the team to continue fighting for the championship title. Max Verstappen will be looking forward to battling the McLarens this Sunday.

Max Verstappen Gets a Confidence Boost from Pole Position in Silverstone

Max Verstappen was nowhere close to the top of the timesheets in the early stages. He was facing difficulties due to the crosswinds. Earlier on, Verstappen also reported a slight issue in gear change. His time was lacking severely compared to the other drivers fighting for pole. However, there was still a lot of action left.

Oscar Piastri made a mistake in the final lap and couldn’t improve his time for pole position. He was still on provisional pole by then. Lewis’s hopes were shattered with a slight slowdown in the final sector. Out comes Max Verstappen. The Dutchman went flying through the first two sectors setting the fastest time. He has slight slower final sector it couldn’t stop him from beating the times set by the other drivers.

Talking about the car’s performance in his post-race interview, Verstappen said-

“Throughout the whole of Qualifying it was shifting around a bit, and around here with these cars they are extremely sensitive to it. Just tried to tidy it up throughout Qualifying and that final lap was good enough. This is a proper track in Qualifying, where you have to go flat-out on all these corners, you have to be really committed and that’s really enjoyable.”

Red Bull Racing seem to have gotten the balance right for their after woes in practice sessions. The entire Red Bull Racing pit-wall was celebrating Max’s pole position, reaping the benefits of their work. It also helps the Austrian team keep their hopes alive and stop Verstappen from leaving Red Bull in favor of other faster teams.
