March Madness 2025 Final Four Preview, Schedule, Where to Watch, and More

Garima Ranawat

Top four teams are set to lock horns in the Final Four round of March Madness 2025.

After thrilling 60 matches, action has finally reached the Final Four stage in March Madness 2025. The semi-final round of the NCAA Tournament is going to be special this year, as it will be the only second time that it will feature all No.1 seeds. The first time that all four top seeds clashed against each other in the March Madness Final Four was in 2008.

Ironically, that edition was also hosted in San Antonio in 2008, similar to the current season. However, this isn’t the only reason that makes it an exciting affair. All Final Four participants, Florida, Auburn, Houston and Duke are ranked in the top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency, as per KenPom

Not only this, but all four teams are among the top 10 highest-rated teams of all time with ratings above 35.28. With the NCAA Tournament 2025 is approaching its end, let’s go through the preview and schedule for the Final Four Round.

Auburn Tigers vs. Florida Gators Match Preview

The Auburn Tigers are set to clash against the Florida Gators in the first game of the March Madness Final Four 2025. This will be the second time the Tigers have made it to this stage of the tournament, their first since the 2018-19 season. On the other hand, the Gators are making their sixth appearance, and first since 2014. They are aiming for their third national championship, last of which came in 2007.

The last time both sides locked horns against each other was on February 8, where Florida took down Auburn 90-81. In their respective Elite Eight clashes, the Tigers took down Michigan State 70-64, while Florida edged past Texas Tech 84-79. The Gators will head into the game on the back of a solid show put on by Walter Clayton Jr. who scored 30 points, two rebounds and four assists.

Apart from him, they have Alijah Martin who scored 14 points in the first round and 10 points in the Elite Eight. He is averaging 14.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals this season. On the other hand, the Tigers have names like Johni Broome, who came up with 25 points and 14 rebounds in Elite Eight. He is maintaining an average of 18.7 points, 10.9 rebound and 2.9 assists per game this season. It will be a tough challenge for Florida Gators to limit Broome who has been a dominating name.

While Florida has already beaten Auburn once this season, they maintain an upper hand. However, the Tigers will be keen on avenging their past defeat and equal the tally to book a Final date against the winner between Duke and Houston.

Duke Blue Devils vs. Houston Cougars Match Preview

In the second game of the Final Four 2025, the Blue Devils will be up against the Cougars in another anticipated game of the season. The Blue Devils made it to the stage on the back of an 85-65 win over Alabama, whereas Houston took down Tennessee 69-50 in the Elite Eight. This is the seventh time the Cougars have made it to this stage, but are still trophy less.

On the other hand, Duke on a 15-game winning streak will play their 18th Final Four game, and aim to clinch their sixth title. Talking about the respective teams, the Blue Devils have star sensation Cooper Flagg, who is projected to be the No. 1 2025 NBA Draft pick. Flagg has been unstoppable and is averaging 18.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists for the side this season. They have Kon Knueppel as well, who is rolling with an average of 14.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and one steal.

Talking about Houston, they have a solid lineup with names like L.J. Cryer, who averages 15.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 38 games this season. They also have Emanuel Sharp, who averages 12.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game this season.

The last time both the teams locked horns was in the Sweet 16 Round last year, where Duke took down the rivals 54-51. Considering this, the Blue Devils hold an upper hand, but now that they are so close to the championship title, the Cougars will aim for an upset over the favorites.
