Madison Keys vs. Laura Siegemund Preview

Madison Keys is currently the top seeded player from the US competing in the Wimbledon after Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula’s early exits. She had a breakthrough year with maiden Grand Slam title in Melbourne. She also reached the quarterfinals in the 2025 Roland Garros. Her track record at Wimbledon is also pretty good as Keys qualified for the round of 16 every year since 2019.

Keys reached the semifinals of the Queen’s Club two weeks ago and had a great preparation for the grass-court. Her best run came in the 2015 and 2023 Wimbledon where she reached the quarterfinals. She was tested against Ruse in opening round but looked solid in the second-round victory over Danilovic. Madison is having the best season of her career with a dominating 32-9 record, including two titles.

Laura Siegemund didn’t drop a set and defeated Stearns and Fernandez in a dominating fashion. She secured her first top-30 victory in the previous game. The 37-year-old is having her best Slam run outside the French Open. She hasn’t won a singles title since 2017 and the age factor is also a key role. The German veteran brings experience and ranked outside the Top 100. Siegemund is currently 1-4 in the third-round matchups of the Grand Slam. Her only 3rd round victory came in the 2020 Roland Garros where she had a quarterfinal run. She recently won the grass-court doubles’ title at Nottingham Open.

Madison Keys vs. Laura Siegemund 2025 Wimbledon Prediction

Madison Keys has been a consistent performer on grass court. She dropped just one Grand Slam match this year with a title of Australian Open. The American ace will counter Siegemund through big serve and flat ball-striking. Her heavy forehand would trouble the German veteran. The grass-court success in doubles can motivate her but singles match has a different scenarios. Siegemund can stretch this match to final set if she relies on her first serve and net charges.

Prediction: Madison Keys to win in straight sets.
