The Dallas Mavericks fans were riding high on team’s resurgence ahead of Christmas, but now they are left with anxiety as injuries continue to pile up. Luka Doncic was forced to leave mid-game with a left calf strain on Christmas Day games against Minnesota Timberwolves. While the fans were hopeful that the star guard would be back to fitness soon, a recent video has cast serious doubt on those expectations.

On Friday night, during the Mavericks’ home loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Luka Doncic was seen on the sidelines with his left leg on a scooter, unable to put weight on it. The footage quickly went viral, and fans were left with more questions than answers.

The Mavericks have struggled since Doncic’s injury, losing 4 of their last 5 games. The Slovenian was averaging 28.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 7.8 assists in 22 games before his injury.

To make matters worse, the Mavericks were dealt another injury blow when veteran point guard Kyrie Irving was ruled out with a back sprain. Irving did not play in the loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the team will now be without both of its stars against a spirited Grizzlies.
