After a disappointing 2023, where the Los Angeles Chargers finished last in the AFC West with a 5-12 record, last season was a big improvement. The Chargers made the playoffs in their first season under new head coach Jim Harbaugh, who has a reputation for transforming the fortunes of his teams quickly.

The Chargers are in a good position to improve the roster significantly this year, as Harbaugh will have a better understanding of his needs and has nearly a $70 cap space available to go along with the number 22 draft pick in the first round.

Moving on to the Chargers’ schedule, as part of the AFC West division, the Chargers will get 9 home and 8 away games as per the NFL’s policy that alternates 9 home games for the AFC and the NFC on a yearly basis.

Los Angeles Chargers 2025 Season Home Games

Starting with the Chargers’ 9 home games, 3 of them will be played against their AFC West rivals, including the Chiefs, Broncos, and the Raiders. Then, 2 more home games will come in the form of another AFC division. This year, the AFC West will play the AFC South and the Chargers’ home games will be against the Colts and the Texans.

Similarly, the Chargers will play another division from the NFC, and this year, the AFC West will play the NFC East. The Eagles and the Commanders will visit SoFi Stadium for the 2 home games. As the Chargers finished second in the AFC West last season, they will play the remaining 2 home games against the second-placed teams – one from the AFC and one from the NFC. Their AFC opponents will be the Steelers from the AFC North and the NFC opponents will be the Vikings from the NFC North.

Los Angeles Chargers 2025 Season Away Games

The Chargers’ 8 away games will be as follows. They will play 3 games against their divisional rivals, followed by 2 games against the 2 teams from the AFC South and 2 from the NFC East, which are the Jaguars, Titans, Cowboys, and Giants, respectively. The last game will be against an AFC East opponent, which in this case is the Dolphins, who finished second in the 2024 season.
