Following the 9-8 season from 2023, when they narrowly missed out on a playoff spot to the Houston Texans, there were high hopes for the Jaguars’ 2024 season. Unfortunately, though, the team regressed and ended up with a terrible 4-13 record. From the first couple of weeks into the new season, it was apparent that the Jaguars hadn’t learned how to solve the problems they faced at the end of the 2023 season.

Jacksonville blew leads in multiple games last season and a major cause of that was that they lacked leadership within the locker room. It also didn’t help that quarterback Trevor Lawrence played only 10 games as he was out injured for the remaining games. In any case, the Jaguars need to rebuild this offseason if they are to challenge the Texans in the AFC South.

The Jaguars will have some tough opponents in the upcoming season, and for that, having a good offseason will be particularly important. Having said that, let us take a look at what is in store for the AFC South franchise.

Jacksonville Jaguars 2025 Season Home Games

Looking at the Jaguars’ schedule for 2025, Jacksonville will have the benefit of playing 9 home games and 8 away games this year, as all AFC teams get the extra home game in 2025, according to the NFL’s policy to alternate each year between the two conferences. However, it is worth noting that one of the Jaguars’ home games will be in London, as they have been doing for the past several years.

3 of Jacksonville’s home games will be against their divisional rivals, the Colts, Texans, and Titans. The AFC South will face all four teams from another AFC division as well as one NFC division. As per the NFL’s rotation policy, the AFC South will play the AFC West in 2025 with home games against the Chiefs and the Chargers.

Jacksonville’s opponents from the other conference will be the NFC West teams, with home games against the Rams and Seahawks. That leaves 2 more home games, which will be against the Jets and the Panthers, both of whom finished third last season within their respective divisions.

Moving on to the Jaguars’ away games, they will again face all 3 divisional opponents as is customary in the NFL. Their final away game will be against the third-placed Bengals from the AFC North.

Jacksonville Jaguars 2025 Biggest Offseason Moves

During the offseason, the Jaguars traded away wide receiver Christian Kirk to the Houston Texans. They also released tight end Evan Engram from the roster. In place of Kirk, Jacksonville brought in Dyami Brown on a one-year deal. Their other big moves were signing offensive lineman Patrick Mekari, center Robert Hainsey, cornerback Jourdan Lewis, and safety Eric Murray, all on three-year deals.
