The hype surrounding the Detroit Lions shows no signs of slowing down, and this is reflected in the average ticket prices at Ford Field.

After Jared Goff and his teammates clinched their second consecutive NFC North division title and secured the NFC’s top seed for the 2024 season, ticket prices for Lions games have skyrocketed, making it increasingly difficult for some of the franchise’s loyal fans to attend games.

The average purchase price of a ticket for Lions vs. Commanders is $991 on @tickpick, making it the most expensive NFL game excluding Super Bowls on their record.

The latest example of this price surge is the Commanders vs Lions Divisional Round matchup. According to ESPN journalist Field Yates, the average ticket price for this second-round NFL playoff game is a staggering $991.

These soaring numbers make this Commanders vs Lions matchup the most expensive game in NFL history—excluding, of course, Super Bowl prices. However, this record may not last long.
