Lewis Hamilton helps Sky F1 commentators secure roles in the F1 movie

Lewis Hamilton is popular in the 2025 season for a completely different reason. The seven-time champion was one of biggest forces behind the F1 movie. Hamilton’s efforts are visible during the movie premiere. The F1 movie is earning praise all over the world for its premise and authenticity. Lewis Hamilton is the producer of the F1 movie and tried his best to bring forward the best content during its creation.

The F1 movie stars and its producers were more than happy to work with Lewis Hamilton. Brad Pitt went as far as to call him “The King”. Hamilton is not going to stop with one movie though. The Briton is ready to produce more scripts for the future. Lewis Hamilton is ready to create a career in moviemaking after the F1 movie. Hamilton’s dedication to create the movie as close to real F1 racing were revealed during an interview by David Croft.

David Croft is Delighted to Have Lewis Hamilton Support Him for a Role in the F1 Movie

For years, David Croft and Martin Brundle have been the voice of Formula 1. The duo is instantly recognized by the community due to their commentary ever weekend for Sky Sports F1. As such, Crofty and Brundle were also called in for serving the role of commentator in the F1 movie.

During the world premiere of the Formula 1 movie, the Sky F1 duo was present to bask in the glory of their work. Crofty went forward to reveal Lewis Hamilton’s role in helping him secure the movie. David Croft revealed that it was Lewis Hamilton who convinced the directors to cast Crofty and Brundle instead of actors to preserve authenticity.

“He sat down with Jerry Bruckheimer and Joe Kosinski and said- ‘Look, if you want to make it authentic in terms of the commentary, don’t get an actor- Get Crofty and Martin to do it’….I thanked him for it couple of years ago- ‘You said a really nice thing and I really appreciate it'”

The F1 movie has releases in theaters on June 27, 2025. It has earned itself a rating of 7.9/10 on IMDB. The audience are eagerly waiting its arrival. The F1 movie is set to compete with cult classics like Rush and Ford v Ferrari which are fan favorite for motorsport enthusiasts.
