Lewis Hamilton Applauds Ferrari After Driver of the Day Performance in Bahrain GP 2025!

Lewis Hamilton ended one of the longest partnerships in the history of Formula 1 to join a new team in 2025. Hamilton was a Mercedes driver from 2014-2024. In his 11 years with the team, he secured six driver’s championships and led the team to eight constructors’ championships. Hamilton spent the last three years with Mercedes in a miserable state.

It was obvious that Mercedes did not have enough pace to compete in the front row anymore. He was elated to fight for the historical eighth championship yet again. Instead, Lewis Hamilton was demoted to the middle of the pack and instead of fighting for wins, he had to stay satisfied with points finishes. Lewis Hamilton’s 2022-2024 era in Mercedes is statistically the lowest point of his career yet.

Hamilton arrived to Ferrari with a lot of hopes and aspirations. Ferrari had one of the best driver lineups of the 2025 grid. They had also proved that they had the ability to build a championship winning car with the current regulations. Ferrari was insanely dominant in the first half of 2022. However, they lost their performance over the season. In 2024, Ferrari returned to the front of the grid with multiple victories. This led Hamilton to believe that he was better off racing for the Italian outfit than Mercedes.

Lewis Hamilton’s expectations have found no solace from day-1 at Scuderia Ferrari. His team has been unable to provide a good car to either of their drivers in the first three races of 2025. Hamilton won a race during the Sprint weekend at Shanghai but lost his pace yet again in the main race. He was disqualified from the race Shanghai. In Japan, he could not produce any better results either.

Lewis Hamilton Achieves His Best Finish for Ferrari in Bahrain

Lewis Hamilton came to Bahrain GP with significant upgrades to his car’s floor. The new floor was aimed at making his car much faster than before. Even though, during the qualifying session, there was no significant improvement and Hamilton could only qualify in ninth position. Yet, the race was much better for Lewis Hamilton. His Ferrari was incredibly fast during the middle stage of race.

Hamilton managed to gain four positions from his starting grid and ended up finishing the race in fifth position. Lewis Hamilton was also awarded the Driver of the Day by the fans for his best finish for Ferrari in F1 race yet. After the race ended, Lewis Hamilton had nothing but appreciation for his team over the team radio.

Lewis Hamilton had a good race pace this weekend but unfortunately it wasn’t enough for him to overtake front runners. Hamilton also used harder compound tyres throughout the race. His stints were slow compared to the other drivers using softer compounds and producing much better lap times. Incidentally, some days ago, Hamilton’s radio with his engineers was highlighted by the media. He felt immense annoyance due to the behaviour of the media.

The upcoming race might end up being a game changer for Ferrari if they learn from this weekend and produce better results in qualifying. Their car can do much better with a good track position.
