Levante vs Barcelona – Top Goalscorer Odds, Betting Tips and More

Abhinav Goel

Fresh off winning the Segunda Division title, Levante face the ultimate test on Saturday night when they host reigning La Liga champions Barcelona in week two of the 2025-26 campaign. The promoted side began life back in the top flight with a 2-1 defeat to Alaves, and they’ll need a huge performance to stand a chance against Barca.

Barcelona, meanwhile, started their title defense in style with a comfortable 3-0 win away at Mallorca. Raphinha and Ferran Torres struck early before Lamine Yamal added a late third. Mallorca’s two red cards made life even easier for Hansi Flick’s side. The victory not only gave Barca three points but also sent them straight to the top of the table.

Levante will be eager to prove they can compete with Spain’s elite, especially at home. However, the gulf in quality will be tough to overcome for the newly prompted side. Barcelona are expected to dominate possession and create plenty of chances, and Flick’s men will be confident of making it two wins from two to stay in control of the title race.

Barcelona will be boosted by the return of Robert Lewandowski, who has trained this week after missing the Mallorca clash with a hamstring problem. Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres remain strong attacking options after all three found the net in the opening game. For Levante, Pablo Martinez is set to take up the number ten role, supporting the front duo of Ivan Romero and Roger Brugue, who will be tasked with testing Barcelona’s backline.
