Playing in his NBA-record 19th Christmas Day game, LeBron didn't disappoint.

The most anticipated LeBron James vs Steph Curry matchup on NBA Christmas day lived up to the hype as Lakers secure a thrilling 115-113 win over Warriors at Chase Center. With just 5 seconds on the clock remaining, Austin Reaves scored the winning layup to improve Lakers’ record to 17-13 this season. Meanwhile, Warriors suffered their second straight defeat, having just 3 wins in last 14 games.

Playing in his NBA-record 19th Christmas Day game, LeBron didn’t disappoint, finishing with 31 points, 4 rebounds, and 10 assists. With the Lakers’ thrilling win, the 39-year-old surpassed former Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade for the most wins on Christmas. The four-time MVP winner now has a 11-8 record in Christmas games.

Notably, the Lakers legend became the second player after Oscar Robertson to score 30+ points in seven Christmas games. Robertson has done so eight times.

Austin Reaves shine in Anthony Davis’ absence

The Lakers suffered a big blow early in the game when Anthony Davis left after sustaining a sprained left ankle late in the first quarter. However, Austin Reaves, who struggled in Lakers’ last loss against Pistons, stepped up, racking up a triple-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Notably, Reaves is only the 10th player in NBA history to have a triple-double on Christmas Day.
