Lakers vs Clippers: Will Luka Doncic play tonight? Latest injury update on Lakers’ newest star

After recording a commanding 106-102 win in the first meeting, the Lakers are set to be back in action against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, March 2.

Set to be their last regular-season meeting for 2024-25, the Lakers will aim to continue their winning momentum. The Clippers, on the flip side, will aim to avenge their past defeat by taking down JJ Redick’s side in front of their own home crowd.

In his first match up against the sixth-seeded Clippers, birthday boy Luka Doncic made his presence felt by leading the scoresheet. The 26-year-old continued his red-hot form and finished the night with 31 points, two rebounds and five assists.

Another notable performance by the former Mavericks star pushed the Lakers to the third spot in the West with a 37-21 tally.

Coming on the back of a two-month long injury hiatus, Luka had a few underwhelming performances for the new side. However, it didn’t take much time for the five-time All-Star to announce his arrival. He recorded his first 30+ point performance against the Nuggets on February 22.

Since then, Doncic has been in brilliant form and he will aim to continue that in the forthcoming games. In seven games he has played for the Lakers, Luka is averaging 21 points, 8.6 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game.

However, ahead of the forthcoming clash, the Lakers released their injury report. The report left fans and pundits concerned about the availability of their key players. Luka, along with a few other stars, has been listed on the injury report for the Clippers’ re-match.

Will Luka Doncic play tonight against the Clippers?

Luka Doncic, who was out of action for almost two months due to calf injury, is listed as questionable with left calf injury management.

Doncic was on minutes restriction for the few games for the Lakers and missed the clash against the Trail Blazers.

Apart from him, icon LeBron James is also listed as questionable with ankle injury management.
