Knicks vs 76ers Injury Report: Will Joel Embiid play tonight?

Garima Ranawat

Philadelphia have six players listed on the injury report vs Knicks.

The New York Knicks are set to lock horns with the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, February 26 at the Madison Square Garden. Seeded third in the East, the Knicks are coming on the back of a 118-105 loss against the Boston Celtics in their last game.

On the other hand, struggling Philadelphia are coming off an eight-match losing streak. In their last game, they went down to the Bulls in a blowout 142-110 loss.

Having occupied the 12th spot in the Eastern Conference standings, the Sixers will aim to turn around their past defeats. However, given the current form, their respective tallies and standings, it will take an herculean effort to end their losing streak.

Nothing seems to be working well for the 76ers. After losing eight games in a row and continuous poor performance of their star players, Philadelphia have six players on the injury list ahead of Wednesday’s game. One name amongst them is their star player Joel Embiid, who has been going through continuous knee struggles.

Embiid missed 38 of 57 games this season due to knee injury. While he has made his comeback on the court, the 30-year-old is still suffering with the injury effects. Feeling the need of fixing the problem once and for all, Embiid is currently undergoing tests and may seek low-dose radiation therapy

On the other hand, the Knicks are doing well with a 37-20 record. However, they, too, have Karl-Anthony Towns listed on their injury list.

According to James L. Edwards III of The Athletic, Towns has been listed as questionable for the 76ers game. He is likely to miss the game with the knee injury he sustained during the Sunday loss to the Celtics. While he was seen practicing on Tuesday, the 29-year-old might not step on the court on Wednesday.
