According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Embiid might undergo a low-dose radiation therapy for his left knee concerns. In this therapy, doctors use very small amounts of radiation to help reduce inflammation and pain in the knee to slow down the joint damage.

The doctors also discuss about osteotomy which is a major surgery which could rule him out for than a year. In this surgery, doctors break and reshape a bone (usually in the knee or hip) to shift weight away from the damaged area. Doctors perform this surgery primarily to reduce pressure on a worn-out joint, relieving pain and improving movement.
The former MVP is averaging 23.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. His lowest rebounds per game since his rookie season. The 76ers center is also ruled for the post-season awards for second year in a row.
