Nikola Jokic continued to smash records in the league as the Serbian superstar posted his fifth straight triple-double before the fourth quarter to make NBA history on Thursday.

The three-time MVP finished with 35 points, 22 rebounds and a season-high 17 assists to guide the Denver Nuggets to a 132-123 win over rejuvenated Sacramento Kings. Jokic dropped his 20th triple-double this season and it was his 14th without playing the fourth quarter.

Denver Nuggets superstar became the first player in NBA history to score four straight triple-doubles while playing less than 36 minutes in each game. Jokic celebrated his seventh NBA All-Star selection in style and set a new league record.

Nikola Jokic added 20 points and 20 rebounds before the end of the third quarter. He tallied 35 points, 22 rebounds, 17 assists, two blocks, and a steal on 12-of-19 shooting from the field. His classic performance came after Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 54 points which widened the MVP race gap.

Nikola Jokic highlighted a classic play with 1.7 seconds remaining in the third quarter. Denver star received an inbound pass from Aaron Gordon and immediately shot the ball from 3/4 court. It was the longest shot made by a Denver player in franchise history.

Commentators and fans were in sheer disbelief after watching Jokic’s successful full-court attempt. It feels like, the Denver Nuggets star is giving an audition for quarterback position in NFL. It was something extraordinary play from the three-time MVP.

“I think this is the best basketball of my life,” Nikola Jokic said after the game. “I’m in shape. The ball is going in. I think I can influence the game on different levels. “
