Kevin Owens no longer part of WrestleMania.
The WWE Universe experienced heartbreak when an extremely disheartened Kevin Owens entered the ring to announce his injury. His career in WWE came to an unexpected halt just before WWE WrestleMania 41, as he wouldn’t be available due to neck surgery. He was a pioneer of storytelling in WWE who made everyone believe he was deranged when he attacked his friends.
It was poignant to see Kevin Owens announce that these injuries could be career-ending and he would undergo surgery. He will no longer be able to take part in the upcoming Wrestlemania 41. This means the match is called off and Randy Orton no longer has a match in Wrestlemania. Randy Orton had been waiting for this match and showed his respect before Kevin Owen left the ring. He was visibly upset and delivered an RKO to Nick Aldis.
Kevin Owens has sustained a neck injury, which he claims he received during his match in January. He has been part of some brutal career-ending matches and received severe injuries. This includes going through a ladder after receiving an Alabama Slam from Cody Rhodes at the 2025 Royal Rumble. He was then part of an unsanctioned unofficial match against Sami Zayn at the Elimination Chamber.
These matches would only have aggravated the injury to his neck. Kevin Owens revealed that he needs immediate surgery on his neck, and doctors have advised him against participating in any wrestling matches. Kevin revealed that wrestling takes a toll on your body and it’s his turn to pay. He has been suffering from it for the past four months and doctors have finally figured it out.
Kevin Owens was kind enough to come on My Mom's Basement and share a little bit more about the neck injury that is forcing him out of WrestleMania this morning….

Nick Aldis started the segment by telling the crowd that there is a fine line between injuries from which one returns in a week and a potentially career-ending injury. This means that Kevin Owens would be out of WWE for an indefinite amount of time. A neck surgery normally takes about three to six months to fully recover. However, given the introduction and Kevin Owen promo, it might take longer than that.
Kevin also revealed that he doesn’t know when he will return to the squared ring again. He stated that not being in the ring with Randy Orton at WrestleMania really sucks. Kevin Owens once said that anything he do in WWE after he wrestled against Steve Austin is a bonus for him. WWE Universe never expected that his WWE career might be at risk of ending prematurely and wishes him a speedy recovery.
