The 76ers recorded seventh straight loss on Saturday.
NBA fans couldn’t keep calm and called out the Philadelphia 76ers who recorded their seventh straight loss. On Saturday, February 22, the 76ers were up against the Brooklyn Nets at the Wells Fargo Center. Coming on the back of an embarrassing 124-104 loss against the Celtics, the 76ers aimed to turn it around. However, their effort fell short and the Nets outclassed them to record a 105-103 win.
Only Tyrese Maxey came up with a 30+ point performance for the 76ers as he finished with 31 points, two rebounds and five assists. Apart from him, no other player managed to cross even the 20 point mark.
Nine-time All-Star Paul George scored 15 points and seven rebounds. On the other hand, the two-time NBA scoring champion Joel Embiid could only chip in 14 points and seven rebounds.
The series of poor performances by two big names in the franchise left fans disappointed and they took to social media to express their frustration.
Check out some reactions:
Watched the last couple minutes of Sixers-Nets and legitimately did not realize Paul George was out there.

Joel Embiid is actually gonna sit the entire 4th quarter, he doesn’t deserve to be paid even half of what he earns. Stealing a living

You know why the NBA sucks? Just look at the 76ers. 3 superstars and they're absolute dogshit. Why? Because the players don't care.

If Joel Embiid & Paul George don't care, why should NBA fans care? Embarrassing effort from supposed hall of fame talents. They should be ashamed
Notably, Embiid, who has been having his own fair share of injury struggles this season, was benched in the fourth quarter. The 30-year-old missed all his six three-point attempts and was slow in the third quarter when he lost the ball and fell on the court.
On the other hand, Paul George failed to reach the 20-point mark for the eighth game in a row. The last time he recorded a decent performance was during the 132-129 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in January, where he finished with 30 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Joel Embiid to undergo another knee surgery? 76ers star addresses constant struggles even after missing 15 games

While Embiid refused to talk to the reporters after the game, Maxey, who led the score-sheet for the 76ers, opened up on the constant struggles of his teammate. Notably, despite his comeback, Embiid is still facing the effects of knee injury and foot sprain.
Tyrese said that it is difficult to see Embiid not doing his best. He stated, “It’s definitely difficult….The last four years, he’s been pretty dominant every single time he steps on the floor,” he said.
Adding that he keeps on checking the 30-year-old every now and then, Tyrese added, “I just try to keep his head up, check on him every now and then.”
Notably, Embiid has only played in just 19 of 56 games this season. Earlier, he said that he feels the need to fix his knee problem.
Talking about the team, the 76ers are now 20-36 and have been pushed to the 12th spot in the East. In their next match, they will lock horns with the Bulls on Monday, February 24.
