American football defensive tackle Joshua Farmer played his college career at Florida State University from 2021 to 2024. Farmer appeared in four games as a redshirt freshman in 2021. Becoming a starter in 2022, Farmer appeared in all 13 games recording 15 tackles and 2 sacks. He was rated as the Freshman Honorable Mention All-American by CFN.

Farmer continued his fine form in 2023 as he started the first 13 games. Recording 32 tackles, including 7.0. for loss with 5.0 sacks. Farmer was named as DSU Defense Most Improved Player. He also made it to the second-team All-ACC and All-ACC Academic Team in 2023.

Continuing his form as a senior, Farmer appeared in 12 games registering 32 total tackles in 2024. He also received the All-ACC honorable mention the Bobby Bowden Leadership Award, and All-ACC Fourth Team honors. Farmer appeared in 40 games over four seasons as he recorded 31 solo and 74 total tackles for the Florida State.

Joshua Farmer put up a prospect grade of 6.29 at the 2025 NFL Combine. Being rated to eventually become a starter in the league, Farmer has an average score breakdown on his Draft Profile. Farmer had a total score of 69 at the Combine Event as he ranked 17th among all the DTs at the summit.

Farmer is marked as someone with a wide build who can act as a space-eater at times. Making the game around him easy, Farmer could often be seen creating blows or sustaining heavy knocks on the pitch. Additionally, the analysts also point out that Farmer could be second best in terms of speed and arrival at times.

Joshua Farmer was projected to be selected in the Round 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft. Coming in as a surprise, he will have to wait on for his name to be called as we head to the third day of the draft. Farmer has sparked interests from various NFL franchises as the New York Giants and the New England Patriots emerge favourites to acquire his talent.

Other than the two franchises, Farmer could also be on scouting lists of the Packers. Having a unique blend of defence and awareness, Farmer would be adding depth to any squad that chooses him over the draft season.
