American football running back Cameron Skattebo had a steady start to his college career. He missed out on action due to COVID-19 concerns in 2020 as a freshman. Skattebo played in nine games for Sacramento State in 2021, averaging 9.1 yards per rush for six touchdowns.

Skattebo continued his form in the 2022 season as he started 12 games of the 13 he appeared in. He completed 195 rushing attempts for 1,372 yards and seven touchdowns in 2022. Skattebo was also named the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year.

The California running back transferred to Arizona State from Sacramento in 2023. He completed his debut year with 783 rushing yards for nine touchdowns. Skattebo was a part of the First-team All-American in 2024 and was also named the Peach Bowl Offensive MVP.

Cam Skettebo put up a prospect grade of 6.16 in the 2025 NFL Combine Event. Having a build low to the ground, Skattebo possesses the footwork to run through tight spaces on the turf.

Skattebo had a production score of 93 and total score of 83 at the Combine Event. It was the second-most among all the RBs. Skattebo is said to have an elite contact balance and can act more elusively to plays at vital moments.

Cameron Skattebo is projected to be selected in Round 4 of the 2025 NFL Draft. The California-born running back is predicted to be picked up by the Kansas City Chiefs as per the SI reports. Moreover, other franchises like the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Chargers could also show interest in Skattebo. Skattebo’s versatility as a receiver and a quarterback can add perks to his draft value.
