Jordan Greenway expected to Rejoin Sabres Lineup Against Red Wings

Anamika Shrivastava

Buffalo Sabres forward Jordan Greenway is likely to return from injury as the team faces the Detroit Red Wings in a crucial matchup.

Jordan Greenway will likely return from a middle-body injury when the Sabres host the Detroit Red Wings on Monday.
The forward has missed 10 games.  He was a full participant since joining his teammates at their morning skate on Dec. 5. He skated on the left wing Sunday, with practice on a line with Jiri Kulich and Dylan Cozens, and skated Monday in an optional morning session.

Greenway has six points for himself (three goals, three assists) in 16 games. The Sabres may also have a returned captain by the weekend as Rasmus Dahlin, who will miss his third game in a row because of back spasms, skated on his own Monday.

Buffalo has New York Rangers at home Wednesday and then plays a back-to-back on the road Saturday and Sunday, respectively, against the Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs. Dahlin is the team’s third-leading scorer in the 25 games this season with 19 points: six goals, 13 assists.

I’ve always loved writing and storytelling, and hockey gives me a perfect stage for endless stories to tell. Whether it’s breaking down a game, analyzing a big trade, or capturing the emotions on the ice, I bring the NHL to life through words. So what’s the best part you ask? Watching the action unfold and turning it into something fans can connect with. To my readers: Hockey is more than just a game—it’s the highs, the heartbreaks, and the moments that make us jump off our seats. So, keep cheering, keep debating, and never stop loving the madness of the sport!
