Jon Jones Desperately Wants In On The UFC White House Card; Begs Dana White For A Spot!

Jon Jones has never been one to shy away from the spotlight. The former two division champion loves attention, whether it’s good or bad. He’s built a career on being unpredictable, controversial, and undeniably talented. Now he’s got his eyes set on something huge: fighting at the UFC White House card.

Jones seems serious about getting on that White House card. He wants to face light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira in what would be an absolute blockbuster fight. The problem? Dana White doesn’t trust him. And honestly, can you blame the UFC boss? Jones has a track record of causing chaos, and White isn’t ready to risk the biggest card in UFC history on someone so unreliable.

Jon Jones Keeps Pushing For A Spot Despite The Obvious Obstacles

Despite all the red flags, Jones isn’t giving up. Speaking ringside at DBX 4 with The Schmo, he made his case directly to White. Jones claims he’s training hard, feeling great, and would be honored to represent the country.

“I really hope it happens. Dana, bro. Please, bro. Please. I’m training, I’m feeling great, I’m healthy, and I’d be so honored to represent our country and do what I do best.”

The superfight with Alex Pereira makes perfect sense on paper. Both guys are legends in their own right. The matchup would draw massive numbers and create genuine excitement. But White clearly isn’t convinced that Jones will actually show up and follow through.

Why Dana White Won’t Trust Jones With The White House Event

Dana White has been burned by Jon Jones more times than he can probably count. He recently made it clear that Jones isn’t the guy you can count on for such an important event. The UFC boss has legitimate reasons to feel this way. Over the years, Jones has caused multiple main events to get cancelled. He’s had entire pay-per-view cards scrapped because of his actions. One card even had to move from Las Vegas to Los Angeles because of him.

Jones has been stripped of titles multiple times and relinquished belts twice. The heavyweight division has been stuck in limbo for two years largely because of his decisions. Earlier this year, Jones allegedly agreed to fight Tom Aspinall for a historic thirty million dollar payday, then backed out. He even announced his retirement rather than face the British heavyweight.

So when White says he can’t trust Jones to headline the White House card, it’s based on a mountain of evidence. Jones (28-1-0-1NC) might have the best argument for being the greatest of all time, but he’s also the greatest at creating chaos. Now, can Jones change White’s mind before June? Maybe. He’s certainly going to keep trying, using every promotional opportunity to plead his case. Whether that’s enough to overcome years of trust issues remains to be seen.
