John Cena Returns: WWE Superstar set for return on RAW’s Netflix Premiere!

John Cena will make his much awaited return on January 6, 2025, at RAW's Netflix Premiere.

The 16-time world champion, John Cena left his fans heartbroken when he announced his retirement post-December 2025. This announcement sent shockwaves into the hearts of WWE fans. His announcement was met with loud “No” chants from the crowd.

He announced that he with his fans would make many memorable lasts. He told the crowd that Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and Wrestlemania of 2025 will be the last major event that he will compete in. He answered any and every question about his retirement in the post-show press conference.

What has WWE planned for John Cena?

His huge fan base has been eagerly waiting to get a glimpse of their beloved superstar since he announced his retirement. There have been numerous speculations about his return but so far none has turned out to be true.

John Cena has now given a reason for his fans to be happy again. He announced that he will be part of the RAW’s Netflix Premiere event. This is where his retirement tours start. He has also announced that he will feature regularly through the entirety of 2025.

John Cena’s Future Plan

He shared another good news during his interview. He told the media will be part of the WWE extended family once he retires from in-ring competitions in WWE. He informed the media that he loves WWE and it’s his home. He physically feels he is at his end but this doesn’t mean he needs to distance himself from something he loves.

It will be interesting to see who he competes against. The Legend has already thrown a challenge to all the WWE Superstars. To quote Cena “If you want some, hurry up and come get some, cuz the last time is now”. It was an intriguing wordplay using his lines “My time is now”.

WWE respects Cena a lot for the efforts he puts into the company. WWE would love to give him a warm retirement from in-ring competition. The legend will leave behind a huge legacy and a wide hole in WWE fans’ hearts that can never be filled.
