JD McDonagh Secures The Biggest Victory of His Career With The Help of Finn Balor, Defeats Sheamus on Monday Night Raw

JD McDonagh defeated Sheamus tonight to pull off the biggest upset of his entire career. He was nowhere near pulling off a victory against Sheamus, but Finn Balor hit the latter with a shillelagh stick on his back. JD McDonagh then hit him with a Spanish Fly to secure a pinfall victory over him. There were multiple interferences and distractions from Finn Balor during the match that helped JD McDonagh.

Finn Balor saved JD McDonagh from “Beats of the Bodhrán”. He then stopped Sheamus from securing a sure-shot victory when the latter delivered a Razor’s Edge to JD McDonagh and covered him to secure pinfall victory. Finn Balor, however, quickly slid through and put JD McDonagh’s leg on the bottom rope to force the referee from counting to three.

Sheamus was quick to neutralize both JD McDonagh and Finn Balor outside the ring. The numbers game finally caught up with him as he threw JD McDonagh inside the ring and climbed the third rope to finish the match. Finn Balor hit Sheamus with the Shillelagh stick and hid beside the ring while the referee was distracted and helped JD McDonagh secure the biggest win of his career.

Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to Get Their Tag Team Title Rematch Next Week

It started with Finn Balor and JD McDonagh confronting Adam Pearce for a Tag Team Title rematch, as they lost the title to AJ Styles and Dragon Lee last week. Adam Pearce notified them that they were responsible for eliminating Sheamus after being eliminated themselves from last week’s Battle Royal, and now Sheamus was seeking to face one of them in a singles match this evening.

JD McDonagh volunteered to face Sheamus and later defeated him with the help of Finn Balor. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh then went to Adam Pearce and asked for the tag team rematch again. Adam Pearce was not happy with the way JD McDonagh secured the victory, but AJ Styles and Dragon Lee convinced Adam Pearce to give them the title rematch.

These two teams will now face each other on Monday Night Raw next week.
