The first of the women’s semi-finals at the 2025 Italian Open features the number 6 seed Jasmine Paolini going up against the American Peyton Stearns. In what will be the pair’s first-ever meeting, this match will be an interesting watch as both players look to break down the opponent’s game throughout the match.

The Italian’s journey in Rome has been a stellar one thus far, using the home crowd support to her advantage. She has taken out the likes of Lulu Sun, Ons Jabeur, Jelena Ostapenko, and Diana Shnaider while dropping just one set.

Stearns, meanwhile, has had to battle her way to the semis, playing three tough matches in a row. However, her victories have come against top players such as Madison Keys, Naomi Osaka, and Elina Svitolina.
