Jacob Fatu to face LA Knight for the WWE United States Title at WrestleMania, Defeats Braun Strowman in a Last Man Standing match

LA Knight to defend his title against Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania.

Jacob Fatu has been one hard pill for Braun Strowmman to swallow. They have crossed paths numerous times but the latter always had an upper hand on Monster among Men. Jacob Fatu has cost Braun Strowman numerous matches due to Bloodline 2.0’s constant interruption in his matches. Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu met for the first time at Saturday Night Main Event but the latter was so brutal that the match ended in Disqualification.

Braun Strowman got injured and the referee had to stop the match. Braun got his revenge when he threw Jacob Fatu through a table a week later. It has been a game of cat and mouse ever since. Braun Strowman won the match against Jacob Fatu via disqualification when Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga interrupted the match. Braun qualified for the US title match against LA Knight but it ended in DQ as Jacob Fatu attacked both.

Jacob Fatu and Braun Strowman were scheduled to face each other in a last-man-standing match. The winner of the match would punch a ticket to WrestleMania and face LA Knight for the WWE United States Championship.

Jacob Fatu qualifies for WrestleMania, will face LA Knight for the WWE United States title

Jacob Fatu created history when he defeated Braun Strowman in the last-man-standing match. This was the first time that Braun Strowman had lost a last-man-standing match in his career. There has never been a match for Braun Strowman in WWE due to his immense size and strength. WWE for the first time got a man who not only matched his strength but has tamed the Monster among Men on a few occasions now.

One such occasion was on the April 04, 2025, episode of Friday Night Smackdown. Braun Strowman always had an advantage of size when going into a last-man standing match and he dominated the match initially. Braun Strowman however was able to gain the momentum he initially lost. Both of them utilized every ounce of their strength to a point where both barely were able to beat the count at 9 and stop a double count-out.

Braun Strowman performed a jackhammer from the pedestal and sent Jacob Fatu through the table. It however took a toll on his body too. He was entering the ring when Jacob Fatu hit him with a hip attack sending both through the table again. Jacob Fatu was able to beat the count but Braun Strowman could not. Jacob Fatu will now face LA Knight for the WWE United States Championship at WrestleMania.
