Bianca Belair, Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley fought in a match worthy to kick off WrestleMania.

The Women’s World Championship rivalry entered the decisive phase when Iyo Sky, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley kicked off WrestleMania Day 2. Iyo Sky was the woman to score the first pin attempt of the Women’s Triple Threat match for the Women’s World Championship. These women showcased some immaculate moves that made the crowd leave their seats. They made the arena chant “This is Awesome” with their awe-inspiring moves.

Their attacks were filled with hatred and despair, a feeling that grew day by day since the events of Raw after the Elimination Chamber. The match went to near stalemate numerous times, but such is the nature of Triple Threat that one not only looks for the win but also makes sure the other doesn’t score a pin.

Iyo Sky (c) defeated Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley to retain her title

If one looks at the entirety of the match, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley didn’t let Iyo Sky dominate, but the Genius of Sky pulled one last trick to win the match. One could say that the rivalry between Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair cost them the match. Both these women were so hellbent on destroying each other that they gave Iyo Sky ample time to recover, and that’s what cost them the title match at the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania.

Rhea Ripley countered a KOD attempt of Bianca Belair with a head butt. She went for Riptide, but Bianca Belair escaped and hit her with her braid. She delivered a KOD to Rhea Ripley and was about to score a pin when Iyo Sky delivered an Over the Moonsault on her. The match went on for 20 minutes and ended with Iyo Sky pinning Bianca Belair to retain her title.

Few people from the crowd were disappointed, given how the match went. Such is the nature of triple-threat matches that an opponent who was never in the match can steal it between the catfights of others. This marked an end to Bianca Belair’s 4-0 win streak at WrestleMania.
