Steve Kerr took the accountability citing lack of discipline and lack of offensive execution down stretch.
The Golden State Warriors have completely fallen apart in the NBA regular season, courtesy of a 104-101 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Monday night. Following a blazing hot 12-3 start and first place in the Western Conference, the Warriors have dropped to below .500 for the first time.
Steve Kerr said that this loss is as frustrating a night as they’ve had this season. His side now fell to 19-20 on the season and the worst part is they lost to Toronto Raptors, who are 9-31 in the season. The Warriors have slipped to 11th place in the conference and have officially fallen out of a play-in tournament spot.

Toronto Raptors lost 16 of their last 17 games before taking on the Warriors on Monday night. Who would have thought that the Warriors would deliver a poor performance against one of the league’s worst? Golden State’s collapse has been surprising when they have a player like Steph Curry, who won 4 NBA Championships.
The Warriors’ veteran scorers Buddy Hield and Dennis Schroder are struggling. The former shot 3 for 13, going 2 for 10 from 3-point range, and finished with just eight points. He also had an opportunity to tie the game but missed out on a 3-pointer in the final seconds. Schroder managed 12 points while shooting 5-for-13.
Steve Kerr also talked about the slumping Buddy Hield and said: “I trust him. I put him in the last play because I believe he’ll make the next shot…I’m gonna keep playing him. I’m gonna keep trusting him.”
Warriors had an 86-77 lead after a 3-pointer by Lindy Waters III with 9:27 left in the game but Raptors pulled off a comeback with a 27-15 run in the end. The Warriors are an abysmal 7-17 since their impressive 12-3 start. Steph Curry finished with 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Andrew Wiggins added 20.

Steph Curry also spoke to the media after the loss, “There’s a responsibility of keeping the franchise in a good space (long term). If there was a situation that made sense for our team, I’m pretty sure we’d know about it. That’s how we’ve always operated.”
Golden State Warriors have to push for a quality player before the trade deadline who can help Steph Curry in the roaster. As per reports, they are the frontrunners to acquire Chicago Bulls center, Nikola Vucevic. His trade will can bring happiness in the Warriors’ camp. Steve Kerr’s side will end their four-game road trip against Timberwolves on Wednesday.
