According to Marc Stein, Gilgeous-Alexander will be eligible for a four-year supermax extension, worth nearly $300 million. The deal would make him the highest-paid player in NBA history. By the 2030-31 season, his salary could top $80 million, eventually surpassing the current record held by Stephen Curry with $55.8 million.

Gilgeous-Alexander signed a $207 million rookie maximum extension after he was named to the All-NBA Team in 2023. His current contract is worth $35.8 million for the 2024-25 season.
