IShowSpeed Injury Update: What happened to IShowSpeed?

IShowSpeed broke the internet when he replaced an injured Akira Tozawa to enter the Royal Rumble

Royal Rumble matches are generally the toughest matches in WWE and it’s due to the presence of so many superstars in one ring. The 2025 Royal Rumble had superstars like Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins. The presence of legends like John Cena and Rey Mysterio made it a daunting task for other superstars to even be in the ring.

Jey Uso stunned the world when he pushed John Cena out of the ring apron to win the 30-Men Royal Rumble. John Cena who was looking good in his last Royal Rumble match became the first to congratulate Jey Uso by hugging him. The entry of IShowSpeed made this Royal Rumble unique. He helped Bronn Breaker to eliminate Otis.

What happened to IShowSpeed?

IShowSpeed was seen with a Neckband and crutches after he received a brutal spear from Bron Breakker. He was devastated by the Bron Breakker with a spear. Bron then picked him up and threw him out of the ring. Otis caught him and threw him over his head to the announcer’s table getting his revenge on IShowSpeed for helping Bron Breakker to eliminate him.

IShowSpeed entered the ring as a replacement of Akira Tozawa who faced the wrath of Carmelo Hayes after being eliminated by Bron Breakker. Akira Tozawa was entering at 8 to Royal Rumble when Melo attacked him from behind. The official hurried to the scene and took him backstage. Triple H asked IShowSpeed to Rumble who stayed in the match for less than a minute.

When will IShowSpeed be back?

IShowSpeed in an interview after the Royal Rumble stated that he will be back in the 2026 Royal Rumble. He called out many superstars by name and stated he could have done more if he had more time. WWE and IShowSpeed are yet to confirm the severity of the injury or whether it is genuine. There is no doubt that enduring such brutality would certainly be painful.
