The Indianapolis Colts have missed the playoffs for four straight seasons, with their last appearance coming in the 2020 Wild Card round loss to the Buffalo Bills. Since then, they have been fighting to get back in the postseason contention but have missed out despite their two winning seasons.

Indianapolis drafted a franchise quarterback in 2023 in the first round, selecting Anthony Richardson with the fourth overall pick as their answer to the future. Unfortunately, though, that move has yet to pay dividends. Richardson got injured as a rookie in only his fourth game and missed the entire season. Naturally, much more was expected from him in 2024, but his 11 games yielded an unimpressive 6-5 record.

The Colts need to improve their roster overall and may even need to find other answers under center. The Colts are probably a couple of pieces away from getting back to the postseason. As it stands, all teams barring the Texans from the AFC South are struggling, which means Indy has a greater chance of winning its divisional matches.

Speaking of divisional matches, although the 2025 regular season schedule is yet to be announced, the list of opponents for the Colts in the upcoming season is as follows.

Indianapolis Colts’ 2025 Season Home Games

As is the case this year, all AFC teams will get to play 9 home games and 8 away games as part of the NFL’s policy to alternate the 9 home games between the AFC and the NFC each year. However, one of the Colts’ home games will be played at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany as part of the International series of games.

As is standard in the NFL, the Colts will play the other 3 divisional rivals at home, which means they will face the Texans, Jaguars, and Titans from the AFC South. They will then face 2 teams from one division in the AFC and 2 teams from one division in the NFC. This year the AFC South plays the AFC West and the NFC West divisions. Thus, the Colts’ home games will be against the Broncos, Raiders, 49ers, and Cardinals respectively.

Moving on, the final two home games will be against one AFC team and one NFC team, which finished 2nd in their division in 2024, just like the Colts, who finished 2nd in the AFC South. Thus, Indianapolis will play the Dolphins from the AFC East and the Falcons from the NFC South.

Indianapolis Colts’ 2025 Season Away Games

As for the road games, the Colts will once again play their mandatory 3 games against the AFC South opponents, Texans, Jaguars, and Titans. Then, they will play on the road against the remaining 2 teams from the AFC West and the NFC West, which are the Chiefs, Chargers, Rams, and Seahawks respectively. Their final away game will be against an AFC team that finished 2nd in its division, which will be against the Steelers from the AFC North.
