Milwaukee Bucks vs. Indiana Pacers Timeline: What Is In Store For Bucks-Pacers Game 4?

The Indiana Pacers kicked off their NBA Playoffs 2025 campaign with a 117-98 win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the first-round series. They continued their dominance in Game 2 and outplayed the Bucks 123-115 to take a decisive 2-0 lead in the series. For Game 3, the teams traveled to Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, and Bucks made full use of their home-court advantage to bounce back in the series. They took down the Pacers 117-101 to take the tally 2-1.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Gary Trent Jr. put on a 37-point show apiece to help the side record their first win in the series and establish their dominance. The Bucks would aim to continue their winning momentum and tie the series 2-2, before action moves back to Indiana.

The Indiana Pacers finished the season with a tally of 50-32 and reached the 50-win mark for the first time since 2014. The performance earned them fourth position in the standings, one spot higher than the two-time champions, the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks finished the regular season with 48-34, the lowest wins in the last four seasons.

However, they have a better playoff record in the last ten seasons with eight series wins compared to the Pacers’ two. The 2021 champions were knocked out of the playoffs in the opening round in the last two editions. Hence, the Bucks wouldn’t want to repeat their fate and will enter the game with full force, aiming to make it 1-2 before crucial Game 4 and Game 5.

Bucks vs. Pacers Timeline

The Pacers secured wins in the first two games of the series, and the only thing that Bucks were aiming for was a win in Game 3. Since 2022, the Bucks were 0-7 in playoff games that Giannis plays in before tonight’s win. However, the only player that truly showed up for the Bucks in all three games was Giannis Antetokounmpo, who dropped consecutive 30-point double-doubles.

Apart from him, Gary Trent Jr. also came up with a 35-plus point performance, contributing significantly to the win.

The Pacers had a total of six players reaching double figures in Game 1 and Game 2, which helped them get an edge over their counterparts. The Bucks, in return, finished with shooting figures as 35/84 from the field and 9/37 from three in Game 1. While they improved in Game 2, it clearly didn’t prove to be enough. In Game 3, they were shooting 42/89 from the field and 15/41 from three, and snatched a win to open their account in the series.

As the series is heading towards the second half, pressure on both teams is significantly increasing. The Pacers wouldn’t wish to let the series slip away after securing first two wins. Similarly, the Bucks wouldn’t wish to pause their winning run and make most of their home-court advantage.
