Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of, if not, the best players from across the globe. He started his basketball journey as a humble and young athlete, who just wanted to prove to the world that he belongs in the NBA. There was a time when Antetokounmpo stated that he wanted to be the league’s MVP and many reporters and fans laughed at him. However, little did they know at that time that Giannis would go on to be a 2x MVP, a Finals MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, 9 All-Star team selections and 8 All-NBA teams.
Antetokounmpo’s only flaw in his entire game is his shooting ability. While he has gotten better over the years, thanks to his relentless work ethic, shooting is still something he is struggling with. However, Giannis more than makes up for his lack of shooting, with the way he drives down the lane and finished over multiple defenders, which is something that all the defenses across the league still haven’t been able to figure out. Antetokounmpo already has a stacked resume and has accomplished what few could even dream about. He’s just 30 years old and is at the peak of his game currently, trying to win another championship with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has played in the playoffs for 9 out of his 13 total seasons, including the 2024-2025 season. It is also worth noting that Giannis and the Bucks made the playoffs in the 2023-2024 season, however, due to an injury that he suffered in the regular season, the Greek Freak could not play.
Antetokounmpo has battled a lot of adversity throughout his career, as the narrative about him, before winning the 2021 championship, was that he was a great regular season player, but the question was if he could raise the standard of his play come postseason.
The Bucks lost against the Boston Celtics in 2018, in the first round of the playoffs. Next season, they lost in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Toronto Raptors in 2019. In the 2020 season, the Bucks and Antetokounmpo lost against the Miami Heat in the second round of the playoffs. However in 2021, after a tough fight against the Brooklyn Nets in the second round of the playoffs, and a comeback from a 2-0 deficit in the Finals against the Phoenix Suns, Antetokounmpo finally delivered and got himself his first ring.
Since the 2021 championship, Giannis and the Bucks are trying to bring home another championship. However, they have not been successful so far. Injuries have been the story for the Bucks’ postseason run since 2021, and the last time they played in the second round of the playoffs was back in 2021-2022. We’ll see if the Bucks will finally get over the hump this season.

Antetokounmpo has one finals appearance so far in his NBA career. He led the Bucks to the NBA finals in 2021, and after a 50-point performance in Game 6, the Bucks won only their second championship after a 50-year championship drought.
